VAVS News
The new VA Outpatient Care Facility in Monroeville is now open. The care facility is looking for volunteers in the following areas
We have been advised that the VA is in need of clothing that is seasonal (for example clothing for spring/summer). Clothing needs to be in very good to good condition. Personal care items such as (body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes, etc.) as well as cash donations are always welcome. Please contact Lee Clark (oct311960@yahoo.com) to coordinate for drop-off of these items.

Procedure for submitting Applications
- Applicant is to fill out blocks 1 through 4 and have his proposer sign in block #4. Applicant will attach check for his fees, plus extra banquet/luncheon reservations, made out to his local assembly.
- Application and check are to be transmitted to the candidates Home Council Financial Secretary for completion of their membership number and certification in block #8.
- Application and check are to be transmitted to the Comptroller of the Assembly the candidate is joining to be read and voted on (only one vote is needed), complete block #5 (signatures) and verify all information is complete.
- The Comptroller is to send all applications with a check from the Assembly for all candidates made payable to: “MASTER PA WEST DISTRICT” and mailed to: Assembly and Council copies of the Form 4, plus the new members’ Degree certificates, will be dispersed to each Assembly at the banquet.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Deadlines have been established in order to have all in readiness on the degree day. Applications will be accepted right up through registration, but candidate names may not appear in the program booklet. Any applications submitted on the day of the Degree will be charged a $10 late fee per application which will be charged to the Assembly.
Banquet reservations MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE BEYOND THE DUE DATE OF MAY 17, 2024. After this date, call the District Secretary at 724-745-4902 before mailing a check, or email him at jackrosati@hughes.net.
ROOM RESERVATIONS / HOSPITALITY ROOMS
Special room rates for the Knights of Columbus are in effect that weekend at the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Cranberry at $119.00 a night plus applicable taxes. Reservations are to be made directly with the hotel. The hotel reservation number is 724-776-6900.
