August 2022 FAITHFUL NAVIGATOR REPORT

Sir Knights, I am excited about taking over as Faith Navigator. I served our Assembly  years ago as Faithful Navigator. Chris did a good job and I hope to continue in his footsteps.  Though we have been meeting once a quarter, which was is a result of little activity. The Patriotic Degree of the K of C often competes with our Councils rather than collaborating with the Council. I would like to see due more work in conjunction with Lee Clark. I believe we should develop a support team composed of our able members. Our members that may have difficult in moving around I would like to start a Vets support group with those Sir Knights that would like to help communicate with disabled Vets through the phone including Zoom. Often the most disabled I remember from Bingos at the East Liberty Vets center both men and women who could not come down to play were isolated. In addition to helping our disabled vets, we could help the Westmoreland Food Bank with their Vets Program.

In visiting these homes for special – occasions we could ask Councils to support our efforts. I an think things Holiday celebrations both Christmas and National Holiday.

We need to bring our members together in Fraternity coming together to pray for our Country, work in unity including socializing together. I am thinking a while back before Covid we had a get together at Pasqualino. We had even invited out 3rd Degree Brothers. Also, in past at Stone Villa Winery we had family get togethers.

Brothers to accomplish these goals not only must we come together as members, but we must also recruit new members. There is a Patriotic Degree planned for November 5th at St Bruno in Greensburg. We need to promote at our Council meetings. More details to follow.

One more thing, as Associate District Marshall I am in charged with answering the call when a request comes to me for Color Corp. Thanks to anonymous benefactor, we now have 18 Color Corp. We need to bring members from our Assembly into the Color Corp to present for various local events. We could think about fund raising.

Brothers finally we can only do this with support. I am thinking for now we expand committee meetings to get back to a more active Assembly. This probably sounds challenging, but with your commitment we can make tis a great Assembly

Vivat Jesus
